TRAVEL & FILM FUND | Wandering Feet
http://wanderingfeet.in/travel-film-fund
TRAVEL and FILM FUND. TRAVEL and FILM FUND. Apart from the funded projects; wandering feet loves to travel and is always on a look out for offbeat tracks and stories that are worth sharing either through a film or words. Financial resources at times are the only constraints. So if feeling generous then please do contribute any amount so that good inspiring stories can be brought forward that come my way. It would certainly be put use to only story-telling.😉. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

The Lord of the Peaks | wanderingfeet
https://wanderingfeetblog.wordpress.com/2015/02/08/the-lord-of-the-peaks
Silent musings along the journey…. The Lord of the Peaks. There are places and then there are PLACES to be at. Had been meaning to visit the Tungnath peak for quite some time. Originally had planned to travel solo but when found out that a friend is travelling with a group of his friends, I jumped in too at this opportunity and got to spend time with some beautiful people and making new friends. Photo credits: Arnab Das. Here we all are walking totally mesmerized! Wondering how is it even possible? At la...

Silent musings along the journey…. Whose reflection is it anyway? There aren’t only few who can reflect. Everyone can and everyone does. Then why do we not keenly see at what we are looking at in the Now! In our own vanity; we close our own eyes towards those who humbly and very silently reflect us. We get taken away by the. That is usually present around those who have taken upon themselves to show the mirror to others. Even that says a lot about us! How long can that work! Listen to what it says! And l...

Beyond the Ego | wanderingfeet

Silent musings along the journey…. Is this thing called Ego such a villain? Who is it harming any ways? Then i took a step back and tried to observe what is this ego; what is that I should be getting rid of? And guess it may take more than a life time for me to get rid of them all or may be less than a life. And then there is this talk about the difference of ego and egotism! Http:/ www.annaleedavis.com. Letting go of ego is letting go the idea you have about yourself. It may be a negative idea; a po...

Silent musings along the journey…. From Sunrise to Sunset and the Times Inbetween. 2 Spending a week in Buddhist Nunnery; receiving so much of love, warmth and affection was again the highlight of this year. They all are such a bundle of joy. 3 On a work project got to travel to Uttarkashi. Alas; didn’t get paid for this one. Had to shell some money from my own. But the place was beautiful. Am still happy. No one knows and that’s the beauty of it. 11 On the way down to Manali form Rohtang. The snakey...

My story of love and fear | wanderingfeet
https://wanderingfeetblog.wordpress.com/2015/01/03/my-story-of-love-and-fear
Silent musings along the journey…. My story of love and fear. We have so many unsaid; persistent; repetitive fears lurking in our minds. When trying to find their basis they always turn out to be imaginative and baseless. So I thought may be taking a trip alone to a place where no one knows me would help me face it and get rid of this imaginary baseless fears. And I landed up in Sadhana Mandir, Rishikesh. When I met my teacher here; he asked me what do you want; why are you here? At least some times!

5th Yama – Aparigraha (dis-possessiveness) | wanderingfeet
https://wanderingfeetblog.wordpress.com/2015/01/20/5th-yama-aparigraha-dis-possessiveness
Silent musings along the journey…. 5th Yama – Aparigraha (dis-possessiveness). As translated means dis-possessiveness or non-indulgence. Swami Rama says “Everything in the world is for one to use but not to possess.”. Buy it if there is need for it in the current situation but buying something only to prove a point to others is where we get it all messed up. So I am slowly learning to not get swayed but at the same time not get fooled by the outside world. A dichotomy! What are your views on aparigraha?

I’ve recently become obsessed with researching genealogies on Ancestry. I find the whole process really intriguing. I have offered to do a tree for anyone who is interested. Unfortunately the two people who agreed quickly came up with dead ends. Ancestry has billions of records, but apparently not enough from certain areas in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to get anywhere for those two trees. Very disappointing! My family, with long extensions back into the USA seems to have endless records. Posted ...

Not all those who wander are lost – tolkien. Asymp; 1 Comment. But, I’ve jumped into the middle of the story. Alas, things are “agile” and I find myself with some days to kill in Mumbai, alone. The first morning, this is the city, Mumbai. I’d invited my driver in, but he was quick to point out, “I have my tiffin.” I didn’t press the point, and most likely he was happier to hang with his fellow drivers. Still, the tab bothered me, $75 USD for a 4 course lunch with wine, pro...Back to the hotel for day of ...
