The Diverse Excursions of a Wandering Lamb. Saturday, April 09, 2005. Oruro, The Folkloric Capital of Bolivia. Two weeks ago was Spring/Easter Vacation for AIS/B, so naturaly we traveled! On Saturday, we went and saw the costume shops. As I mentioned in a previous post, Oruro is the capital of Carnival in Bolivia. So, obviously, they have the most (and best) costume shops in the country. I wish I had a scanner so I could post the pictures we took. They are absolutely amazing and expensive!
