Friday, September 13, 2013. The east side of the island is where the town and farm fields are, since it's a bit more protected from the winds and storms off the ocean. At the top of Dun'i it was so windy I could just lean into the wind and it held me up. You can see the whole island from this point and it really did take my breath away. Monday, October 4, 2010. After four hours of riding through steady all day rain, we arrived in Santiago de Compostela and completed our pilgimmage by staring up in awe at the grand cathedral of St. James. Even though we were cold and absolutely soaked through, it was quite a sense of accomplishment to reach our destination. Now I´m planning the next stage of my trip. Getting to Taize, France. I think it will involve some combination of biking and taking a bus. We´ll see what happens.

Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Wandering again. through ontario by bicycle. Another summer of biking adventures. I feel very luck indeed! Here are a few highlights so far. (we are currently taking a rest day in Thunder Bay). Camping in provincial parks along the way. this is Obatanga Provincial Park. Cooking dinner on the beach in Lake Superior Provincial Park. Incredible views of Lake Superior. A wildflower labyrinth we found at a farm just outside of Sault Ste. Marie. Meeting other touring cyclists!
