Students in the hallway: wanderlust

Students in the hallway. When I am on duty in the hall, I basically stand around and occasionally say "slow down" when someone is running and when it is getting near the end of lunch, I am to slowly herd them upstairs (although they all seem to know what they are to do it and don't require the prodding). These kinds of acts of kindness I find regularly among the Turkish students here and really appreciate it; especially as I find they are not as respectful while in class as my American students.
