Nov 6, 2014. After a year in London, I moved to Barcelona on 23rd of September, 2014. So it has been just over six weeks. Thanks to Alejandro (a Spanish friend I got to know when I was travelling in South America in 2010, who appears several times in my previous posts written three years ago), the first week in Barcelona went smooth; I stayed at his flat, he helped me with some administrative stuff and luckily, I managed to find a flat only after three days since my arrival in Barcelona. El Calafate: Stepping on the Patagonian land. 남미대륙에 들어설 당시, 나는 파타고니아까지 내려갈 생각이 없었다. 태고의 자연이 숨쉬고 있다는 미지의 땅이라지만,. 워낙 관광객들이 많고 물가도 비싸고 접근성도 나쁘기 때문이었다(부에노스아이레스에서 비행기로 4시간? 버스를 타면.30시간이 넘는다). 그런데 만나는 여행객들마다 "아르헨티나까지 가서 파타고니아를 안간다면."류의 말로 나를 망설이게 만들더니. 부에노스아이레스의 무더위는 쌀쌀한 날씨를 향한 나의 그리움을 자극했고. 어쩌다가 발견한 아르헨티나 항공의 특가 요금은 나를 '충동'여행으로 유도했다. 그리하여 2011년 1월 16일부터 2월 10일까지 파타고니아 여행이 시작되었다. Starting January 16th, I traveled around Patagonia for about a month. El Calafate(엘깔라파테)는 아르헨티나 쪽 파타고니아의 대표적인 마을이다.

Buenos aires: wandering around. 부에노스아이레스에 있는 동안 사실 '관광'이란 걸 많이 하지는 않았다. 짧게 있는 게 아니다 보니 굳이 '오늘' 이곳 저곳을 돌아다니며 구경할 필요가 없었다. 물론 찌는 듯한 무더위 탓이기도 했다. 자기 전에는 '내일은 여기를 가볼까? 했지만 해가 중천에 떠버리고 나면 너무 더워서 의욕이 싹 사라졌었으니. 그래도 아르헨티나 다른 지역에서 만났던 친구들이 부에노스아이레스에 왔을 때 만큼은 나름대로의 관광을 하기는 했다.
