Thoughts on linguistics, languages (learning and teaching), traveling, books, and whatever else catches my attention. Saturday, August 30, 2003. I figure I should probably give some explanation of what I'm doing, where I am, and why. It is not inconceivable that some people who read this are not fully aware of my life beyond Japan, Grinnell, or of my obsession all things linguistic. I started a group blog, where lots of smart people I know can be lazy and smart at the same time. Dana Goes to Japan.

Why can't these linguists just put their citations at the bottom of the page like sane people? Parenthetical comments, whether they contain content or citation. It's so annoying! Footnotes, people. Use footnotes. Links to this post.
