The Roost: Dreary days
http://kimber999.blogspot.com/2009/02/dreary-days.html
Monday, February 9, 2009. I am fast becoming tired of cloudy days. I am counting down the weeks until I can start my seedlings and get to work in the garden. Last week, we had two glorious days of almost 60 degrees and sunshine! Until then, I am trying to focus on the little bits of sunshine peaking through the clouds. Even though life has been a bit gloomy and tiring the last few months, we are blessed. A few bits of sunshine:. I see signs of spring bulbs getting ready to make an appearance.

Along the Flip Flop path: Playing Possum...
http://alongtheflipfloppath.blogspot.com/2009/07/playing-possum.html
This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave. Elmer Davis. Saturday, July 11, 2009. Friday night I was getting ready for bed when I heard Mike saying "Get it Oliver, get it! At this point I couldn't tell if it was a giant rat or a possum so I went scurrying inside. I wasn't going to have some rodent jump out and bite my toes! As they both run for the door. Apparently this Possum wasn't going to play dead any longer! From the daughter of the great white hunter: ...

Along the Flip Flop path: A busy weekend!
http://alongtheflipfloppath.blogspot.com/2009/07/busy-weekend.html
This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave. Elmer Davis. Monday, July 6, 2009. Sunday, after church, we had our 4th of July picnic. I made my favorite dessert type salad and a huge 5 gallon cooler of lemonade. We hung out at the park, eating and laughing. We then rushed to the other half of the park for our softball game. We didn't win, but had fun. I even hit the ball and got on first, then got to third on the next hit. It was a lot of fun! Out of the Garden.

The spell of spring | the little bird
https://thearosenburg.wordpress.com/2011/05/18/the-spell-of-spring
The spell of spring. Things are growing in our yard. We haven’t planted much yet, but there’s something bewitching about the sugar snap peas threading their way up the fence, and our strawberries emerged from hibernation looking perky and alert. A handful of pansies, a rosemary plant, spinach and beets in tiny-leafed infancy: little shoots of things are everywhere, and their exuberance is magnetic. I cannot stay away from the garden. The spell of spring is upon me. This entry was posted in Gardening.
