Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day: Nola’s 1st Haircut
http://haleyvillines.blogspot.com/2011/09/nolas-1st-haircut.html
Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day. Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Nola’s 1st Haircut. Nola’s hair has been driving me crazy lately. The front got too long and the back was about 1000 different lengths. I finally decided it was time for her first haircut. Here’s the before:. There’s a new place in Fayetteville called Pigtails and Crewcuts. I was pleased with the outcome:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Want My Kids' Stuff? Check out my new blog, Want My Kids' Stuff? Yet, here we are in 2011 and she’s one year old. Ridiculous, I tell you. Here’s the basic sequence of events:. And a couple of other shots that I just think are too funny not to post:. Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day: December 2010
http://haleyvillines.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day. Thursday, December 16, 2010. We found out a couple of weeks ago that Caleb had been assigned a speaking role in the daycare's annual Christmas program. I cringed inside, but took advantage of the advance notice to prepare him for the fact that there would be a lot of people and a lot of cameras. I was hoping that we wouldn't have a repeat of the Jitterbugs incident. Or even the Christmas program of 2009. Or, for that matter, the Christmas program of 2008. I wouldn't t...

Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day: One Week Down
http://haleyvillines.blogspot.com/2011/08/one-week-down.html
Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day. Saturday, August 20, 2011. Thanks so much to everyone who offered words of encouragement after Caleb’s rough day last week. Just so you all know – I am not worried about him one iota. He will be just fine. It’s just a rough transition. We are learning a new process and new roles and that’s to be expected. It will be fun to look back at that post when he graduates and smile about his first week of kindergarten. Friday was show and tell day and Caleb was so excited!

Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day: The Strong Not-So-Silent Type
http://haleyvillines.blogspot.com/2011/08/strong-not-so-silent-type.html
Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day. Sunday, August 28, 2011. The Strong Not-So-Silent Type. I’ve posted on this blog a couple of times about my concern regarding Nola’s slow speech development. I even talked about her evaluation this summer. She’ll likely be able to catch up. (She does have a cough/cold (lingering now for over 2 weeks! Here’s the funny part: I’m supposed to stop telling her to “say” things. How hard is that for an SLP? Why can’t I try to get her to say stuff? So, my mind is at ease....

Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day: HUGE milestone!
http://haleyvillines.blogspot.com/2011/09/huge-milestone.html
Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day. Friday, September 2, 2011. This morning, right after Rudy left for school, Nola went to the door and said,. 8220;Bye-bye, DaDa”. I almost passed out from sheer excitement! She had never put 2 words together before. Big stuff, people…big stuff. As far as being funny… the new joke is for us (Rudy, especially) to ask her, “Can I have a kiss? 8221; She says, “No! 8221; and turns her head away. We respond by making a big deal (oh, man! Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day: January 2011
http://haleyvillines.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day. Saturday, January 22, 2011. Nola @ 11 Months. I didn’t write Nola’s 10 month post. I didn’t have time. Things would happen and I would think, “that’s something I need to remember for her monthly post.” I don’t remember those things now. But, I do know what she’s doing now that she wasn’t doing at 9 months and here it is…. Nola turned ELEVEN months old on December 27th! Here's what she's up to these days. Grumpy face and eyebrows up:. Look at all of that hair. I to...

Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day: Nola’s Not Talking…Yet
http://haleyvillines.blogspot.com/2011/07/nolas-not-talkingyet.html
Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day. Saturday, July 23, 2011. Nola’s Not Talking…Yet. In the meantime, I decided to ramp up my at-home therapy. We started making a greater effort to teach her words and “make” her say things instead of giving in to whining and yelling. Everybody got on board – even Caleb. It was so cute watching him try to get her to say things and trying to teach her words. Nola’s hearing evaluation. Was on July 15th. She did amazing! I worry about apraxia. July 25, 2011 at 7:34 AM.
