Moosetracks: August 2010
http://moosetracks2009.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 3, 2010. I do, occasionally, get to paint a few miniatures for myself in between commissions. While I have many projects for myself, I find that DBA armies suit me best. I do like DBA and enjoy the simplicity of it. Although I am not a great player and lose more often than not. So I suppose the simplicity is in the learning to play, not in how well to play. If you like this army and are interested in purchasing it, I can be persuaded to sell it. Contact me at Ken@bluemoosearts.com.

Moosetracks: May 2010
http://moosetracks2009.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 24, 2010. For this update I am doing a bit of advertising. The pictures in this post are miniatures produced by a company called Sgt. Majors Miniatures. At the Huzzah convention I had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman named Andy Turlington. He has recently acquired the Sgt. Majors Miniatures line. And is now importing. Mutineer Miniatures from Scotland. Andy was kind enough to send me a few samples to paint. You can find out more about Sgt. Majors at. Thank you for looking! Two weeks ago I ...

Moosetracks: July 2011
http://moosetracks2009.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 11, 2011. For this update I have a small selection of 1/3000 size ships. I believe that the manufacturer is Navwar. These are part of a much larger commission. Pictured is the Graf Spee. Actually, the model is the Lutzow but the paint work depicts the Spee during her battle with the British. Below her is the Lutzow. Note the red turret tops used by the Germans for aircraft recognition. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Modular Lego Dungeon in the Works.

Moosetracks: February 2011
http://moosetracks2009.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 5, 2011. Occasionally, I get requests to paint things outside of the normal wargame figure realm. Such was the case of this fellow. Meet Gabara. For those of you who don't recognize him, Gabara was and is a star of Japanese monster movies. He fought Godzilla in All Monster's Attack. Of course, Godzilla gave him a quite the beat down but such is the life of a monster. Below is a close up of his head. Until next time,. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://moosetracks2009.blogspot.com/2012/09/here-we-are-at-beginning-of-september.html
Thursday, September 6, 2012. Here we are, at the beginning of September already. This year is flying past very quickly. Here are an assortment of fantasy figures that I've completed recently. There are still many more figures to go with the commission but I thought I would post a few "in production" figures. The figures are from various manufacturers. I especially like the Sea Serpent. Nicely done and paints up well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Here we are, at the beginning of September alr.

Moosetracks: January 2011
http://moosetracks2009.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 27, 2011. DBA Post Mongol Russian. The figures themselves are 15mm Essex. They are mounted on Litko wooden bases. The flags and banners are all hand made from sheet brass. I've used paper before but I like the idea of metal banners for metal figures. To the right are two cavalry elements. The fellow in green, pointing the way with his sword is what I will use for the general of this army. More than likely this will be the camp for the army most of the time. Until next time,. First of al...

Moosetracks: August 2012
http://moosetracks2009.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 11, 2012. It's been a busy summer and while I've accomplished quite a bit, I haven't taken the time to post any pictures. Let me see if I can change that. These are some 25mm Ottoman cavalry figures that I just completed. The figures are made by Essex. I replaced the spears with some that I made out of brass. The nice thing about these figures was there was quite a bit of room and open space to paint some designs. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
