The Impossible Fortress: January 2014
http://theimpossiblefortress.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 6 January 2014. Over the Christmas period, I've had a chance to do quite a bit of painting and modeling, and the my Space Lizard alternatives. I was working on have been painted! Here we have the entire squad of five Space Lizards:. It's a Desert Horned Lizard (or something) and I decided that's the kind of lizard I want mine to be! These are the two troopers with carbines:. The guns are pulse rifles. This of course, is the leader. He's wielding a pistol (of similar origins to the carbines) a...

Rogue Workshop: April 2014
http://rogue-workshop.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 26, 2014. Disenfranchisement, Age and Hobby (Part 1 of 2). My first purchase was a box of miniatures, no rules yet, and by the time I wanted to learn those as well, the second edition of the rules, colloquially called 2nd ed., had taken over. Although I have very fond memories of that edition, in hindsight I see a lot of the seeds that would grow into my eventual disenfranchisement, but we are not there yet. This is great news! Posted by Allod at. Monday, April 21, 2014. For those who stu...

Rogue Workshop: Humble Beginnings
http://rogue-workshop.blogspot.com/2014/04/humble-beginnings.html
Monday, April 21, 2014. So, another Oldhammer blog. What is this one going to be about, who am I, and why should you care? For those who stumbled in here on accident: What is Oldhammer? In a nutshell, it is playing one of the Warhammer tabletop battle games using out-of-print rules editions and / or the miniatures from the timeframe in which those rules were "current". For most people who do it, it means turning back the wheel of time to a period were gaming was (more) fun to them. Will eventually be abl...

The Impossible Fortress: October 2013
http://theimpossiblefortress.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 24 October 2013. Inspired by Orlygg's recent article about Citadel Combat Cards. I decided to add my own thoughts about these great little GW products. For a long time I only owned the Chaos, Goblinoids and Dwarfs decks, but this year I decided to acquire the rest. So after some months of Evilbay scouring, I managed to buy the Warriors, Monsters and Space War decks for reasonable to moderate prices. My original three decks at the top, with my recent acquisitions below. Jakun of the Claw. I thin...

The Impossible Fortress: December 2013
http://theimpossiblefortress.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 13 December 2013. Recently I've been thinking about these guys:. Yes, the Slann! I love unusual Rogue Trader aliens, and these are possibly some of the most unusual. There are not only no modern models for them, but (after extensive googling) no real alternatives from any other manufacturer either. The old RT minis are difficult and expensive to get hold of and, if I'm honest, they're rather ropey looking figures anyway:. Since lizardmen are basically naked, and because I wanted to think of these...

The Impossible Fortress: September 2013
http://theimpossiblefortress.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Friday, 6 September 2013. Oldhammer Day - Realms of Chaos picture report. Better late than never! Real Life managed to get in the way of doing this earlier, but finally, I'd like to share some of the photos I took of the Realm of Chaos battle that raged during most of saturday. I'm not going to comment on all of them, just the ones where I can remember what was happening! The warband of Herzog Spinecleaver prepares for battle! The battlefield as the warbands line up. The RoC battle in full swing! But hop...

The Impossible Fortress: March 2015
http://theimpossiblefortress.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 1 March 2015. Four A Miniatures - Goblins. Keeping the old blog going this time, is a group of goblins. From Four A Miniatures. Got these at a Hammerhead show some years back (when it was still at Kelham Hall), but they're one of those little projects that took ages to get started! They're such brilliant little miniatures though, I wish I'd painted them sooner. What I presume to be the leader. A two-headed goblin with swords. Goblin with two-handed pick. Goblin with spear and shield.

The Impossible Fortress: Combat Cards - Droog Warfiend
http://theimpossiblefortress.blogspot.com/2015/02/combat-cards-droog-warfiend.html
Sunday, 15 February 2015. Combat Cards - Droog Warfiend. Continuing my little side project, I present to you the next in the series.Droog Warfiend! Bit of a silly name, but a fierce champion of chaos nonetheless. My take on Droog. The only other thing is his shield. Currently, it's actually blank, as I have absolutely no idea what's on it! If anyone has a picture of his shield design, I'd love to see it so I can complete the model properly. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
