The wind there is steady west to east. And it’s dry. But, the good part is, that’s the lowest elevation for crossing the continental divide and most all the wagon trains route went through there. Get a steak in Rawlins. They have good ones. Good place to catch a local rodeo too. (I think only one night a week though).
