Friday, October 3, 2014. A Semi-Random pattern (a first for me! Super cute backing from Canadian designer Kate and Birdie Paper Co. Look at that binding! It's from the Annali line- I purchased mine from Warp and Weft. But I think I got the last of the bold. I wish I had more of it! And since it is Friday, I'll link up to Finish it up Fridays at Crazy Mom Quilts. Have a great weekend all! Jenn @ A Quarter Inch from the Edge. Love how this one turned out, Jeanette! You have a great eye for colour! Just kid...

Thursday, July 25, 2013. I asked my mom if she might like a hand-knit special something this year and she selected the Versailles tank. You can't argue with something that doesn't have sleeves). I used a Fleece Artist tank kit from my stash (oh how long it lingered there! And was off to the races. I knit the back and front at the same time but not in the round. (If you are like me and have avoided doing it this way because you're easily distracted Webs has offered up this good tip. Thursday, July 18, 2013.

http://msteekay.blogspot.com/2014/09/ishbel-again.html
Sunday, September 7, 2014. This one for my pal C, who celebrated a special birthday recently. Full credit to my other pal Johanna, for being my life coach on this one when I got impatient in the lace repeats. (I hope you all have a Johanna in your life telling you it will be worth it in the end). And I also hope you have a friend like Miss C, worth knitting an Ishbel for. The yarn: Madelinetosh prairie in Tart. Needle: 3.75 mm. Posted by ms.tee.kay. September 8, 2014 at 9:45 AM. 2012 by ms.tee.kay.

Thursday, July 31, 2014. Some zips I made up for my crafty pals. I held on to these lovely fat quarters from Greenwood Quiltery. For quite a long time and then decided to set them free in the world. Made me an awesome pouch like this for Christmas using this tutorial. So I followed her lead. It's nice to add a bit of cush to the bags. Posted by ms.tee.kay. Monday, July 28, 2014. Modern Tools and Techniques for the Home Kitchen. Making the Black Death Macaroons that sent two Masterchefs home. I was delighted and horrified by the wicked dessert that David Higgs presented for the five contestants to replicate in last Wednesday’s pressure test on MasterChef SA. Full of empathy and bravado, I decided to attempt it myself. Because I don’t have an ice cream machine and neither does my masochistic streak extend that far, I ignored the time constraints. Here’s the result:. You’ll a...

A sewing, quilting and stitching blog from Montreal. One of the easiest patterns I know of, that is perfect for beginners, is the Oliver S Lazy Days skirt. It’s a free pattern with no seam finishing – which is my least favourite sewing task. The easiest pattern I’ve ever sewn: the Lazy Days Skirt by Oliver S. I don’t have many construction photos of this skirt because I made this years ago. This is actually the third kid to wear this skirt. Yay, for hand-me-downs! Third time is a charm. August 18, 2016.
