If we saw God in each face. Project Based Learning) →. April 22, 2014 · 6:33 am. I just need time to think! I am not really a big fan of devotional books. I sometimes find them less substantive than I had hoped for or a bit forced and trite. Despite that reservation, today I am delighted to be recommending a book to you that at first glance might fall into that category, but let me explain. Mark Eckel has put together a wonderful book entitled I Just Need Time to Think! His passion is to teach others how...

Poems and Reflections: Hopeless
http://poemsandreflections.blogspot.com/2011/04/hopeless.html
Thoughts of a Young Christian. I wrote this poem in one of my darkest moments. Gut-wrenching though it was, God used it to bring me to the book of Job, chapters 38-42. Despite my black heart, the confusion of my circumstances, and the emotional brink on which I was teetering, God showed me that He is God. My self-righteousness needed to be laid down, overwhelmed by His sovereign wisdom and power. No, just as Job did not have the answers. However, instead of asking "why is life so difficult? God, help me,.

Poems and Reflections: Refined
http://poemsandreflections.blogspot.com/2011/01/refined.html
Thoughts of a Young Christian. As my heart was rung of its tears,. And my knees ached from hitting the floor,. I cried aloud,. But You lifted my face to Yours,. And placing Your hand on my heart,. You are silver being refined. 8220;Just as the refiner of metals. Searches for his reflection in the crucible,. I must search for My Likeness. In the pools of your heart. 8220;Refining is not easy. For you or for Me. Blood poured from My brow. For a glimpse of Me in you. 8220;And while you can only see.

Poems and Reflections: January 2011
http://poemsandreflections.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thoughts of a Young Christian. They come from far-flung places -. Men, women, children,. Hungry, dry, unshod -. They are the Roma,. Dressed in rags,. They are drawn by. Promises of a land. They can call their own,. Houses, fields, firesides:. They are a people of sorrow. Only a chamber of gas. Their infants are screaming,. Their land is a mound. Where once there were. The innocent child's smile. Has evaporated into sky. As my heart was rung of its tears,. And my knees ached from hitting the floor,.
