Word experts tell us it (the word rage) is from Old French which was coupled from a variant of Latin rabies. Could rage be emotional rabies? My feelings of rage, though rare, are due to excessive frustration. When I get annoyed or feel indignation, it results in unchecked preoccupation with someone or something. Hmmm I'm still wondering if rationality is a worth while goal.
