Friday, January 6, 2012. After watching the first part of the video today in class a lot of new ideas are springing into my head. The first of which is a "noble" journey and what both Chris and Timothy consider to be "noble". Obviously they both think that their "journey"/cause is a noble one but why? Is it because they believe that the end of their endeavor the result will be a drastic change in themselves or society? Thursday, January 5, 2012. In the book Chris writes a rather lengthy letter to Franz in which he urges Franz to take up a more nomadic and "economic" lifestyle. I got several things from this letter. One of the things I got from the letter was that Chris is religious because he keeps mentioning god. What exactly does he believe in? What did he feel when he wrote to them? In my opinion, no. It doesn't make it less difficult in the end but it makes the middle a thousand times worse. As if it were an oil rig.
