The water is low. I actually love it when it's this low. My photographs don't do this view justice. The kids immediately took off exploring every corner of our property. Perhaps it is because we've had no snow this winter in Wisconsin that I'm feeling a little reminiscent of this particular winter on Washington Island. As we trudged along I watched the birds fly away and the water close up as quickly as it opened. As if it had never happened. Amazing. Thrilling. Blood pumping fun! The next morning we awoke to this. Washington island vacation rental. Thursday, May 29, 2014. The lofts are in. After years of thinking about them, it took all of two weekend trips. The view and the breeze are just as we had imagined. What a great addition to our little cabin in the woods! And here's a hint of my little guy watching a good old fashioned VHS tape in the master bedroom. Under the Magnolia Tree. Friday, October 27, 2006. What a great husband I have! On my birthday he parked this beautiful new bike in the garage to surprise me. I've wanted a cruiser to keep on the island and this is just perfect! My dad bought me an old fashioned bell years ago and I've kept it this long, in it's box, until I got this kind of bike. Under the Magnolia Tree. Tuesday, July 31, 2007. George set up the pac-n-play last night and the carseat is in the car. The strollers are lined up, the johnny jump-up is up, the highchair is in the kitchen. This is so crazy for us, you can't imagine. I packed our bags tonight. This is what it looked like before I stuffed it all in our bags. Tomorrow will be clean the house day and a trip to the bookstore for some good reads to get us through 18 hours of flying! I can't even begin to tell you how excited we are! This is it. We can finally say that we are next! We can safely begin to count down the days until we see our daughter's face!
