Excellent example of Greek Revival style built in 1857. The kitchen was added to rear of house in the 1870's . Original owner, James Thomas Elliot was a Circuit Judge and a State Senator. During the Civil War General Fredrick Steele occupied the house as a Federal headquarters. The house is currently owned and occupied by Dr. and Mrs Robert H. Nunnally.

This is an example of  1950's ranch house style, adding diversity to neighborhood of mainly older homes. This 1952 house was built for Matt Rothert, owner of camden furniture company, also known for key role in campaign to place  'IN GOD WE TRUST on paper money. Currently owned and occupied by George King and Wes Gosvenor.

The McCollum-Chidester House  was built in 1847 by Peter McCollum, a North Carolinian who came to Arkansas and acquired the property on a land-grant basis. It is today a museum maintained by the Ouachita County Historical Society. BUILT DURING 1857 BY JAMED THOMAS ELLIOT A CIRCUIT JUDGE AND STATE SENATOR. DURING THE CIVIL WAR THE HOUSE WAS OCCUPIED BY GENERAL FREDRICK STEELE (USA) AS UNION HEADQUARTERS DURING THE FEDERAL OCCUPATION OF CAMDEN.
