String of Moments: 09.2014
http://stringofmoments.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 22, 2014. Rebuilt on the Cornerstone. This past year has been a huge lesson for me on faith. Everything I thought I knew has been torn down, rebuilt, torn down, rebuilt, etc. You get the idea. I have been made aware of strongholds in my life and God has used a scalpel to extract that sin. I have been completely broken. Yet, the beauty that has come from this is awesome. I am so thankful to God that He loves me so much that He continues to work in me. It is a humbling exercise. Each word...

String of Moments: The Heart
http://stringofmoments.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-heart.html
Friday, June 5, 2015. This saying was posted to Facebook:. Here’s to the girls:. Whose fathers broke their. Hearts before any boy could. Parents, by nature, are going to make mistakes. They are human, they have emotion, and they don’t know everything. That is part of this journey called life. I’m extremely tired of blaming parents for life’s hardships. We live in a world where people desire to be the victim and will do anything to live in that role. My parents were never married. For the next decade of m...

String of Moments: 01.2014
http://stringofmoments.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 28, 2014. I read this quote on a blog and it got me thinking about how we communicate with each other. Before texting and social media, you had to talk to other people with your voice and your words and your tone. Whether that was through a phone or face-to-face, you could understand more than the written word allows. I remember in high school I sat at a table with three other girls in science class. One girl pulled out her lipstick and started to put some on. I was excited and amazed.

We're Coming Number Six. And Seven. Therefore said he to them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray you therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. … Luke 10:2-3 He said go! Grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and watch God move. We're Going! Hold on Number six, we're coming! And while we're at it. You too number seven! Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Progress, Fundraising, and Surprises.

String of Moments: 03.2014
http://stringofmoments.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 24, 2014. Over the last several weeks I’ve been experiencing destruction. Every thought, hope, dream, and desire has been stripped away. I’ve been laid bare. As I’ve tried to sort through all the emotions, I keep coming back to one:. What I have found interesting is that the meaning of grief not only applies to loss, such as death, but also a heavy burden. The Greek word in the Bible is lupeo. This means to affect with sadness or to throw into sorrow. That’s where I’ve been. He is very clea...

String of Moments: The start of the sifting...
http://stringofmoments.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-start-of-sifting.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. The start of the sifting. Recently I was faced with a very difficult decision. I prayed for wisdom, guidance and discernment and God answer those many prayers with an unending supply of His wisdom, guidance and discernment. I made the decision to leave the finance industry and take a ministry position. I knew it wouldn’t pay enough to cover the bills and yet I knew that God would provide. I knew, just knew that God was leading me back to my job in finance. I feel like I’m g...

String of Moments: 06.2014
http://stringofmoments.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 13, 2014. The older I get, the more I realize there are many moments in life that take my breath away. Today I want to focus on one person that takes my breath away on a daily basis. This man God had for me is amazing. The more I spend this life with him, the more amazing I realize he is. He is, quite simply, perfect. I’m not saying he is without mistake, because that would just be unreal. In our family, we only do real. He is patient when the situation is oozing with frustration. You are am...

String of Moments: The Ichthus
http://stringofmoments.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-ichthus.html
Friday, April 24, 2015. When I was 18 we had to take a test, during a college/career assessment. This test would help us determine what jobs would be the best for us depending on our personality. I had no real idea what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I was relying on this test. As I reviewed the results, I saw the job of mortician and instantly knew this test wouldn’t help me. So I researched highest paying jobs with least amount of school. I found financial advisor. My friend suggested a tattoo.

String of Moments: 06.2015
http://stringofmoments.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 19, 2015. For the past several months, I’ve been struggling to understand people. Why do they care about certain things and not others? What makes someone care about anything? I had a revelation today. Most people can’t be bothered. Trouble; to trouble. Most people don’t want to take the trouble or inconvenience themselves to make something happen or to stop something or to change something. I am having a hard time understanding why. Why can’t people be bothered? Life isn’t fair. Life isn...

Isaiah’s Upcoming Mission Trip | Isaiah's Dad
https://isaiahsdad.com/2013/09/23/isaiahs-upcoming-mission-trip
The joys and struggles of fathering a special needs child. September 23, 2013. Isaiah’s Upcoming Mission Trip. No, we’re not headed back to Russia (as fun as that would be). But next Monday, September 30th, we’ll be headed to Isaiah’s “mission field” with him where he’ll spend two days sharing the gospel in his own special way with all of those around him. The destination – Shriner’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. The gospel in such a way that his life becomes a conduit through which the words of God̵...
