Wait, was that messed up?

Sunday, 18 December 2011. My propensity for overreaction coupled with my somewhat alarming gullibility made for a pretty intense combination when I was growing up. Given this, it was no surprise that at twelve-years-old I still fully believed in Santa Claus and all the magic that surrounded him, even though my friends had known better for years. They would ridicule me for clinging to my childish belief and try to convince me that my faith in Santa was misplaced. I confronted my mother. I was inconsolable...

Wait, was that messed up?: Halloweening Through the Ages

http://wasthatmessedup.blogspot.com/2011/10/halloweening-through-ages.html

Saturday, 29 October 2011. Halloweening Through the Ages. I loved dressing up for Halloween as a child. I spent a great deal of time coming up with ideas for costumes that would really wow my friends and family. In the beginning of my Halloween career, my parents helped me put together some pretty kickass ensembles. It was unusual for me not to receive at least a few compliments from the neighborhood. At first, I decided to go for the ghoulish angle. Older still, and I just got lazy about the whole thing.

Wait, was that messed up?: The Lucy Shirt

http://wasthatmessedup.blogspot.com/2011/05/lucy-shirt.html

Tuesday, 10 May 2011. If you ask my parents, they will tell you that I have always been something of an "old soul." As a kid, I was thought to be wise beyond my years and I usually related better to the older crowd than to my peers. School was no different. When participating in simple activities like writing stories or drawing pictures, it was easy to see that I wasn't on the same wave-length as my fellow classmates. While kids my age were into. Books and watching cartoons on Nickelodeon, I was reading.

Wait, was that messed up?: Where There's a Will(s), There's a Way

http://wasthatmessedup.blogspot.com/2011/04/where-theres-wills-theres-way.html

Sunday, 17 April 2011. Where There's a Will(s), There's a Way. It is safe to say that I was a dramatic child. I loved being the center of attention and I’d happily ham it up for anyone who would indulge me. My timing, however, left something to be desired. I usually wanted to perform at the most inopportune moments. 65279;. I figured it would only be a matter of time before my mother realised what a mistake she had made. I imagined her flying into the room, fearful for my safety. I lowered my voice.

That's me in the corner

Nurturing through hospice…. April 21, 2015. It’s the #1000Speak topic of nurturing. Well I am a bit of a paranoid nerd so let me make sure I understand the definition first.
