Seattle Smitty: Westward Ho!
http://seattlesmitty.blogspot.com/2011/08/westward-ho.html
Wednesday, August 3, 2011. I had never even considered riding the bike to West Seattle because it seemed to far to even think about pedaling with the kids, but someone else planned it and invited team Smitty to come along, so we went. We rode from Smitty HQ in Shoreline to Alki Beach in West Seattle. We even rode most of the way back. Once we were into friendlier territory Little Girl Smitty was elated to be back on her own bike. The destination/reason for our trip to West Seattle was to see the Navy shi...

In baseball terms it means a ball that is hit outside of the fair lines. In dirty terminology it refers to a malodorous. Scent proceeding from the scrotilia. 3 Find A Hole - Hittin...

Seattle Smitty: Not Quite Double Nickels
http://seattlesmitty.blogspot.com/2011/08/not-quite-double-nickels.html
Monday, August 15, 2011. Not Quite Double Nickels. There were 3 route options for the 2011 Bridge Pedal in Portland, OR this past weekend. We chose the shortest route. 6 bridges in 13 miles. Mrs Smitty and I rousted ourselves and the kids out of bed and got ourselves and our bikes onto the MAX light-rail into downtown from our hotel in the suburbs. We got there in plenty of time to sign-in and make our 9am start time. Once we were on our way people naturally spread out and the route opened up. The final ...

The Accurate Definition of a Designated Driver. Posted on March 20, 2012. Program became a formal and promoted idea in the 1980’s. It became another tool of an arsenal to prevent drunk driving with the ultimate goal of reducing drunk driving fatalities. However, over the years the designated driver ideal became warped. Seattle Smitty: June 2011
http://seattlesmitty.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 27, 2011. Last year's bike camping trip up the closed-to-motor-vehicles Suiattle River Road was such a spectacular time that we did it again this year. We invited a few new friends to come along but in the end only one new family was able to come and even they had to leave one of theirs at home. We were 5 adults and 6 children strong. Everyone had some sort of bike to ride. When more than half your crew is under age 5 there are many reasons and opportunities to stop and take a break. We plan...
