I wonder how many people can relate. Lent isn't something I grew up practicing. My Southern Baptist roots never sprouted into this row of the religious garden. We are big on communion and baptism (and potlucks), but Lent is typically left to my friends of other denominations. In order to more fully understand the sacrifice of Christ.

Water on the Rock. God is my Living Water, forming and shaping me with Himself. The rock that is my life is transformed and molded by His constant trickle, or His pounding tide, or his steady flow. The process is deliberate and powerful. Often so slow and hard to detect in the day-to-day. And yet beautiful. In His great love, he never leaves me or forsakes me. He challenges me and disciples me. He uses every situation to grow me into His likeness. To me, this is much like the process of water on a rock.

Monday, August 27, 2012. She gets it. I love that about her - always willing to live outside the box. My big girls were in 6th and 8th grade - and they were working more independently at home by then - so it seemed like the best decision. My middle is at home. We are muddling through - bless her heart! It's still a struggle to get through the day. Ughhh. My little guys are again at public school and doing great. They may come home next year. We'll see.
