Ruahmie: April 2011

Daily reflections on the bible readings appointed. Friday, April 22, 2011. April 22, 2011, Good Friday. Reflection (The readings are below, for your reference). There is no way to make sense of the suffering in this world. Even so, I find this reading from Isaiah to be suffering’s redemption. Isaiah 52:13 – 53:12. See, my servant shall prosper;. Shall be exalted and lifted up,. And shall be very high. Just as there were many who were astonished at him. And his form beyond that of mortals—. All we like sh...

Daily reflections on the bible readings appointed. Tuesday, June 5, 2012. June 5, 2012. Meditation on Psalm 6. Only you can save me from despair, which haunts me day and night. Remove the veil from my eyes so I can see you. Surely, if I keep you always in my sight, there is no fear that can possibly engulf me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). You're Never Fully Dressed. Daily reflections on the bible readings appointed. Saturday, June 2, 2012. June 2, 2012. Meditation on Psalm 3. Tens of thousands of voices swirl in my head, telling me of all my failures. But you, O Source of Love, cover me with kisses and clothe me with a cloak of loving kindness. For every second of self-loathing, you shower me with an hour of assurances. Let me be lifted high upon a tidal wave of compassion and be gently washed upon the sand of warm embraces. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Come ...

Daily reflections on the bible readings appointed. Monday, June 4, 2012. June 4, 2012. Meditation on Psalm 5. If I speak as though you are always listening, O Source of Love. Then my words will more likely be compassionate. And I may avoid needless offense. But when I forget, O Giver of Blessings. I rejoice in your forgiveness. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Fur-licity: Update
https://fur-licity.blogspot.com/2015/07/i-went-for-my-first-swim-kinda-herself.html
One Dog's Journey from life in a puppy mill . Friday, July 3, 2015. I went for my first swim! Herself enticed me into Westwood Lake and once I got in up to my knees I found it wasn't bad at all. Next time I'll go in a little further. And then, the OLYMPICS! CC - who lives upstairs has been chasing me with "that look" in her eye. We found out today that she hasn't been spayed. Herself thinks it's funny but has put up the dog gate so I can relax. Sometimes my good looks are a disadvantage. This blog starte...

Fur-licity: Pictures at an Market
https://fur-licity.blogspot.com/2015/07/pictures-at-market.html
One Dog's Journey from life in a puppy mill . Thursday, July 16, 2015. Pictures at an Market. I'm pleased to announce that, having done my part to "water" the grass, the local fires are under control or extinquished. Others have started tho, and some continue burning. So be careful out there. Herself "peopled" a table at the farmer's market yesterday. I stayed at home so I wouldn't distract her from her "duties". She did take some photos to show me . These look lovely, and smell good too! I notice under ...

Fur-licity: On the Path
https://fur-licity.blogspot.com/2015/06/on-path.html
One Dog's Journey from life in a puppy mill . Saturday, June 6, 2015. We walk this path quite often. It's smooth for Herself, and has lots of doggie smells for me. Yesterday three gorgeous women had just finished their jogging when they saw me on the path. I must admit, there is nothing more satisfying than being surrounded by people who appreciate you and let you know it! As I do now . thank you for reading my scribble and being my friend. Doggie kisses from Watson. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Fur-licity: First Nations Day
https://fur-licity.blogspot.com/2015/06/first-nations-day.html
One Dog's Journey from life in a puppy mill . Sunday, June 21, 2015. Today we celebrated Canada's First Nations, also known as Aboriginal Peoples. Herself took me to one of the events at a park. She tried to take some pictures, and has a dandy close-up of her finger. If I had behaved better and not tried to "take on" a German Shepherd who was minding his own business we might have more photos for you. However we did salvage these two. One of the fiddlers (one on the right! And, of course. Love you, Watson.

Fur-licity: Walking It Off
https://fur-licity.blogspot.com/2015/08/walking-it-off.html
One Dog's Journey from life in a puppy mill . Saturday, August 1, 2015. Since the scale reported a weight increase, Herself has been walking more and making me go with her. I don't know why I. Have to walk more, I am as trim as the Old Spice guy. So I was glad when later we went to Westwood lake and just sat about reading and watching people and meeting new dogs. Herself is yawning so I think we need to take a nap. I'm glad She got a picture of this morning's "spot" for you. Love you - Watson. Planning f...

Fur-licity: Time Flies
https://fur-licity.blogspot.com/2015/08/time-flies.html
One Dog's Journey from life in a puppy mill . Saturday, August 8, 2015. Yesterday we visited with Blaze, the chocolate lab pup, and her people. Herself tried to get a picture of us together, but pup was either moving or sleeping. I of course was on my best behaviour - most of the time. Today we are very sleepy. That's what our political atmosphere has become.as toxic as Harper's climate plan. It's been almost a week since I've last reported in here. Wish I could remember what we did all week! I notice un...
