Each of the flutes Tom makes is handmade. He begins by finding a piece of wood (mainly Eastern cedar, but he can make them from many types of wood) that speaks to him. He makes two halves and glues the wood together to create the flute and then carefully shapes it to make it comfortable in the hands of the player. Terms & Conditions.
About | wayfaringflutes.com
http://wayfaringflutes.com/about
Tom Burke is a member of the United Cherokee Ani-Yun-Wiya (UCAN) tribe in Guntersville, Alabama. He has been making and playing Native American flutes for five years. He began making flutes after purchasing one at a local Powwow. His first flute wasn’t much to look at and it didn’t play as well as he thought it should. So, Tom purposed in his heart to learn about the Native American flute, how to make them, and how to play them. Besides making Native American flutes, Tom has also made a number of mountai...

The Wayfaring Fool
Saturday, March 14, 2015. In Greek, the word for faith and belief is the same: πίστις / pistis. In English, however, belief includes knowledge as the extreme of justified true belief, and our LDS testimonies confess that "We KNOW", not that we believe or we "have faith". Greek never equates pistis as knowledge ("gnosis"). Pistis implies more of a trust or hope that something is true. Alma provides that reconstructive methodology in his epistemic, which in my impression is quite simply this:. As I see it,...

I live in a room—again—slightly larger than your average shoe box, with little possibility to escape and move into a real-person apartment. An over-abundance of old women with bad dye job...
