The Waygookin Way

Jonny and Shawna's Korean Adventure. Monday, February 15, 2010. Lhasa Continued . . . Our travels in Lhasa continued . . . and we went to Potala Palace! The residence of the Dali Lama until 1949 when he fled to India to avoid persecution. The Chinese have now turned the palace into a museum and entrance is strictly monitored. It contains over 1000 rooms and 10000 shrines . . . And, what felt like, 1 000 000 steps . . . We made it to the top! The view from the top was INCREDIBLE! Look at all the colours!

The Waygookin Way: September 2009

http://waygookinway.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Jonny and Shawna's Korean Adventure. Monday, September 21, 2009. Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School. We are both massive fans of Thai food and thought it would be nice to take a class while we were in Thailand. We heard about a famous cooking school in Chiang Mai and signed up for a full day course. We met the guides downtown and they took us to a local market to learn about the ingredients we would use - check out the giant banana flower! Here's what we made . . . Too full . . . Well, the cooking school was...

Jonny and Shawna's Korean Adventure. Monday, November 23, 2009. Our final day . . . in Bangkok. In the afternoon, we arrived in Bangkok. We dropped off our bags at the guesthouse and went straight to the National Museum. There was alot to see there but much of it was in disrepair. Not run-down - but also not at the standards of most museums we've been to (and not even close to any of the palaces! We hurried along through it to see all that we could before it closed. And we were off to see more temples!

Jonny and Shawna's Korean Adventure. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Bundaegi - mmm . . . These little guys (well, not so little when you have to put them in your mouth - chew and swallow! Are all over the place in Korea - there are ladies boiling vats of them in the markets - cans of them in the convenience store - and a few of them even made it into Heaven . . . Jonny and Shawna's Korean Adventure. Monday, December 21, 2009. The Teddy Bear Museum. Our favorite part of Jeju Island may have been the Teddy Bear Museum! Here's why . . . WWII - The Invasion of Normandy. Independence Day in Hong Kong. In the Korean world of teddy bears, there is no reason that King Sejong and Gandhi wouldn't hang out together . . . Or Shawna and Marilyn . . . This looks like the Thrilla in Manila to me . . . There was 'high art' as well . . . starting with Mona . . . After the beach w...

Waygooken Housewife

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. About Me : ). Friday, June 7, 2013. This week was SUPER busy, but it gives me something to blog about! This group of boys just couldn't get enough of T. On Wednesday, our small group went to a baseball game. T's first game! Oh, and I have to include this picture because thi...

The Waygook-In-Law – An American Woman married to a Korean man living in South Korea.

An American Woman married to a Korean man living in South Korea. An American Woman married to a Korean man living in South Korea. Talks: Being on the Out. I think that’s something that’s always going to bother me about living in South Korea. The Waygookin Way | Life in Korean American culture through the eyes of a foreigner.

Hello From the Waygookin. Life in Korean American culture through the eyes of a foreigner. How To Understand Koreans Better. Posted by Ahn Daewoong. Asymp; Leave a comment.
