A Photographic Sage: A Visual Listening Checklist...
http://aphotographicsage.blogspot.com/2014/03/a-visual-listening-checklist.html
Exploring Photography as a Contemplative Practice from a Taoist Perspective. Saturday, March 1, 2014. A Visual Listening Checklist. I think the part of my practice as a contemplative photographer that I am questioned most about is my visual listening exercises. For me, contemplation is something I do before and after the actual photographing. While I am engaged with making the photographs I turn to a more intuitive mindset. And that can only be 'heard' through the eyes. Find a comfortable place to sit.

About Iona - Waymarkers Pilgrimage Journal for Iona Scotland
http://www.waymarkers.net/gettingiona.html
The journey itself to Iona makes this place unique; it is long, quite complicated and even relatively uncomfortable for the urbanite who is accustomed to quick and easy travel. This distance provides the perfect pilgrimage process, for it truly requires a removal of oneself from all that is familiar and supplies a lengthy trek-full of obstacles, no doubt! To get to Iona. To start your pilgrimage preparations, think about the itinerary in two parts: TRAVEL TO OBAN. And OBAN TO IONA.

Exploring Photography as a Contemplative Practice from a Taoist Perspective. Tuesday, August 7, 2012. On Location - Evreux, France. Bon Jour from France! No internet at the house I'm staying in so I need to find a place to post from time to time. Evreux Cathedral is an amazing place. It was built in the 11th century. Lots of interesting compositions and a perfect setting for black and white photography. Lighting is tricky inside.lots of places don't allow tripods so you really need to brace your arms!
