The Hamers Family: September 2009
http://thehamers.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 22, 2009. First Day of School. Emma is returning for her second year at St. Margaret Mary's in Grade 1, and Kate is starting in Junior Kindergarden. Now she is a big girl - just like her sister. I don't know where the time has gone. Emma has gotten so tall and Kate is losing her baby chubs. Thank goodness they still have their dimples! I think this is going to be a very exciting year! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). First Day of School. It all started with us. Sisters and Best Friends.

The Hamers Family: June 2009
http://thehamers.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2009. Well, look what finally showed up - SUMMER! It's only been a week that the most 'awesomest' season arrive, but what a good start! The weather has been perfect, and since I work for. The City of Toronto, I have had the good, or bad, fortune of being on Strike and I've been able to enjoy every single minute of sunshine that has been offered up! We've enjoyed every single day outside since summer finally officially arrived, and the girls couldn't be happier! The girls will also be spe...

The Hamers Family: April 2009
http://thehamers.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 5, 2009. Harry's 8km Hilly, Chilly and Windy Spring Run Off. What was I thinking! I was told that this was a beautiful run through High Park in Toronto. I had to agree, High Park is beautiful, but the run itself was brutal! I have to say however, that conquering this little run was a feeling of empowerment as I was still able to walk and finished the race in well under an hour. I woke today waiting for the stiffness and the pain to start from the hilly race. You know what, I feel great!

The Hamers Family: Graduation!!
http://thehamers.blogspot.com/2009/06/graduation.html
Saturday, June 20, 2009. Graduation - for Senior Kindergarden.a little silly? Yes But I still cried - at both ceremonies! At St Margaret Mary (where Emma will be for, more than likely, the next 8 years) she is going to build and establish wonderful friendships with these children she graduated with. It's going to be amazing to look back years from now and see where these beautiful children started and where they will be. Congratulations to the Senior Kindergarten class of 2009! The Hamers Family: 6 months later
http://thehamers.blogspot.com/2010/02/6-months-later.html
Sunday, February 7, 2010. Well, half a year has almost gone by since my last post. No one seemed to notice - which I thank Facebook and flickr for. This blog was started to keep my family and distance friends up to date with the happenings in the Hamers' household, but now that I've converted some to FB, there isn't much need. Speaking of which, today was a very busy day full of "first's" for them: skiing and snorkling (sort of)! We were incredibly proud of our little ski bunnies! All of a sudden they we...

The Hamers Family: October 2008
http://thehamers.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 19, 2008. A visit to an apple orchard. There is no better way to spend a fall day then at a farm, and we visit many during this season and this year is no exception! We finally made it out to Chudleigh's Apple Farm with some great friends! We played in the playground and went down the big slide, fed the animals, went for a hay ride and picked some delicious apples! Kate loved hiding in the hay maze! And lotsa apple pickin! It was a fabulous day! Wednesday, October 15, 2008. W B Family Blog.

The Hamers Family: Enough with the weeding!!
http://thehamers.blogspot.com/2009/06/enough-with-weeding.html
Sunday, June 14, 2009. Enough with the weeding! This was the first weekend that we had absolutely no prior plans and had beautiful perfect weather. We took advantage! The kids have also started from seed some of their own flowers - Kate started a sunflower and Emma started some Cosmo's. Emma visited a farm and started a strawberry bush, so we also planted that. The Hamers Family: August 2008
http://thehamers.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 2, 2008. We had a bat in the house the other night. Not something that is surprising when you are renovating and have some exposed walls. I tried to get some pictures and although I missed getting some of the bat all together, I did photograph something. You be the judge:. Although the above picture is a little out of focus, the next shot that was taken a few seconds later is a little clearer:. What do you think? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). It all started with us.
