October 24th, 2009. Anywhere from knee- to chest-high, sloppy, southerly onshores; supposed to improve by tomorrow. Wish i'd had my camera. October 12th, 2009. At the pier: another 65 degree day, overcast, NE wind, no one surfing, intimations of things to come. Nothing summerish here. But it was pretty funny.
