Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Learned a lot about SDL in the last day or two. Making a tile-based game of some sort this evening. I'll get back with screenshots tomorrow. Once I've got some experience, a Tetris RPG will be on its way (I've had this idea on a backburner forever waiting for a key concept to make sense that finally worked itself out in my head a few days ago). I could buy 2-3 really cheap low-end boxes to mess around with and put really basic versions of linux on and hack the kernel and break things like apache and MySQL and C - but it's probably more useful and even easier for me to just get a really damn good tower and build a PC for about a thousand bucks. The thing which is irking me at the moment is style switches in a revision controlled system. So either you would need better diffing tools, a different means of describing the formatting of code-data, or a revision system that doesn't handle conflicts the same way. Oooh let's zoom in on that. Just change style...
