WDYC members have the privilege of free parking at the Club thus affording easy access to our Yacht Club, boat ramp, docks, and club house facilities. Follow Rt. 6 East to Exit 8 - Dennis/Yarmouth. At bottom of ramp turn right onto Station Avenue. Follow Station Ave. 2 miles to merge with North Main Street and proceed one block further to traffic light at Rt. 28. Turn left on Rt. 28 and proceed 1/4 mile over Bass River bridge to first right immediately over bridge. Turn left onto Uncle Barney's Road and proceed 1/2 mile to Old Field Road. History of the West Dennis Yacht Club. In the first summer, the club purchased 8 moorings, renting them out for a total of $110 for the season. The building was pretty bare bones in the first few years; much of the interior finish of the clubhouse was completed on a volunteer basis by members. Also completed in the first year was the design of the WDYC burgee featuring a white map of Cape Cod on a red background. A premier event each summer is the WDYC Invitational Regatta.
