The Pleasure of Your Company: July 2008
http://thepleasureofyourcompany.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 24, 2008. I am struggling with this lately as I have also just watched two of my very best friends both leave, and a third teetering on the brink of going away. Most of this is geographical, but also emotionally I've had to say good bye for reasons beyond just a change in their physical location. Monday, July 21, 2008. I wish it were different in so many ways. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Excerpt from The Year of Pleasure. Labels: What I am reading. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What I am reading.

The Pleasure of Your Company: April 2008
http://thepleasureofyourcompany.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Sometimes I stand back and consider all that lay before me. I consider how far I've come, who I am and all that I have accomplished. But the truth is I have miles to go. Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening. Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though;. He will not see me stopping here. To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer. To stop without a farmhouse near. Between the woods and frozen lake. Labels: What I am reading.

The Pleasure of Your Company: October 2008
http://thepleasureofyourcompany.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 9, 2008. Once upon a time I made friends by default, by lack of any other choice you got the job. And I kept friends like the government keeps workers: continued to pay you until you either quit or retired, but I never fired you. Lots of people quit, some retired. And those that stuck around just kept collecting - whether they did their job well or not. You didn't live up to the requirements of the job. Sorry but YOU'RE FIRED. Thursday, October 2, 2008. Was it an accident I saw that?

The Pleasure of Your Company: For Good
http://thepleasureofyourcompany.blogspot.com/2008/12/for-good.html
Thursday, December 18, 2008. Just look at me - I'm limited. And just look at you. You can do all I couldn't do, Glinda. So now it's up to you. For both of us - now it's up to you. I've heard it said. That people come into our lives for a reason. Bringing something we must learn. And we are led. To those who help us most to grow. If we let them. And we help them in return. Well, I don't know if I believe that's true. But I know I'm who I am today. Because I knew you. Like a comet pulled from orbit. Like a...

The Pleasure of Your Company: Cloudy
http://thepleasureofyourcompany.blogspot.com/2008/08/cloudy.html
Monday, August 25, 2008. It is gray and cloudy today for the first time in a very long time. It is oddly comforting to me, the dark brooding sky that rumbles occasionally letting go and drops spill from above. It seems to mirror the mood I have harbored all summer long. Despite the blue skies and sunshine my petulant mood just seems to cloud everything to a dull overcast finish. I just want to start all over. Like OK I see how much I've fucked this up can I just select to restart the game?

The Pleasure of Your Company: November 2007
http://thepleasureofyourcompany.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 16, 2007. This post not for the faint of heart! If you get queezy, or don't like potty humor, skip it! The joys of being a woman. I learned very quickly in my first pregnancy that my modesty and humility were out the window. My body just took on a life (yeah no pun intended, ha ha) all its own. When (literally) all hell broke loose from my body. The door was barely shut and it was on! But that doesn't even begin to compare to the experiences after birth. I had a nurse "man handle" my...

The Pleasure of Your Company: December 2007
http://thepleasureofyourcompany.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 20, 2007. I don't consider my self a hypochondriac. In fact I tend to lean away from drugs (even aspirin) preferring to let nature take it's course. I have never bee diagnosed with anything that has been reduced to a catchy acronym. Because, well, crazy isn't an abbreviation for anything. unless:. There is a methadone to my madness. It must be an oxycontin? Tuesday, December 11, 2007. For all of the bad decisions, that to this day I can still replay in my mind wondering what would have...
