Wednesday, February 13, 2013. So now we are home a week! He is eating very well. No problems there. We are making food available to him whenever he wants it, which sometimes is less than an hour after he has eaten something, but at this point we are not going to deny him food. In terms of communication, I do think he has picked up another word or two. It's not completely clear, but is consistent. I talk to him all day long, and he probably wonders, "when will this lady stop talking? Day 22: We fly home!

Tuesday, February 05, 2013. Day 21: Visa success! Another amazing day brought by God! Noah woke up just fine, we got ready and headed downstairs. I was expecting the driver at 6:00, and it was maybe ten minutes before that. He wasn't there, and my stomach dropped, but again, I just left it to God without trying to instantly develop contingency plans. And of course, he was there within five minutes. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Our adoption agency sent us all of the paperwork to prepare for our in-country stay and appointment with AIT (The American Institute in Taiwan). I am telling myself this means we are getting close! I have not met the social workers at New Hope, but already I am impressed by them. They are so thoughtful when sending us updates. Friday, May 31, 2013. Just a quick update since there is so much to do! We leave in THREE DAYS to pick up our daughter. We got the civil ruling on May 8th, she turned five years-old on May 10th, and we heard about our final ruling May 28th. In the midst of all of the logistics and flurry of activity to book hotels and flights (four of us on the way there and five coming back! I am re-reading Karen Purvis' Connected Child. We are coming, Ying-Tzu, and we already love you more than you can imagine.
