In the UK some of the main reasons why amputations are carried out include disease, serious trauma to the limb, deformity of the limb, or persisted pain that means the limb has limited functional use. At AIM we provide support for amputees and their families throughout the UK, we can offer help and advice with benefit forms, education, employment, sports and hobbies. We can also visit amputees at home, hospital, prosthetic centre or alternatively at our office based in St Helens. We often have social events throughout the year such as family fun days, boxing events, pamper days and much much more.
