Sunday, July 4, 2010. Happy Fourth of July! We had a wonderful Independence Day. There was a little shindig we attended, at the neighbors, that involved food and booze and karaoke shenanigans. Also, I made the cutest flag-inspired cake. EVER. Then, at the end, fireworks. Sunday, August 9, 2009. This weekend, we venture out! It's like I fell asleep and woke up another person! Her butt, on the other hand, is not so good. Diaper rash is a bitch. When I opened up my daily morning surprise today, I found total booty carnage! Red, raw and angry looking skin. How had this happened? What the fook, Batman? Is her butt water made of pure acid? Have you SEEN her baby toes? You can't help but nibble! And in pumping news! Each side even. OMG we are totally pumping with gas now&#4...

Friday, June 11, 2010. Yesterday, E pulled herself up in her baby bed. She was supposed to be sleeping, but instead, she was squealing and banging and tossing the contents of her crib overboard. After a good half hour of listening to her NOT going back to sleep, I gave up and went to rescue her. It was 6am. When I opened her door, she screamed in joy and jumped up and down, up and down. She threw a binkie at me and it hit me squarely in the shin. OUCH! She's such a big girl already! That girl and her dog.

Saturday, May 15, 2010. Did you feel it? Last week, the earth shifted on its axis. did you feel it? I am the Queen of Procrastination, unparalleled in every way. I have quilts that I started when my sons were young, and by young, I mean grade school, and by grade school, I mean younger than middle school. I'm talking a LONG time ago. But then again, it's never too late to finish those quilts. They keep very well. I did a good job and they are beautiful, and pleasant to work on. Next topic: Selvage quilts!
