http://chocolateforteachers.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sweet stuff from funny kids. Thursday, January 26, 2012. We were celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Junior's birthday, so our question during community circle time was "What do you do to make the world a better place? I heard the following:. I pick up trash when I see it on the ground.". I'm nice to my friends.". I always do my best.". Well, I take good care of my pets at home so they don't die and break the food chain.". So I'm 25 weeks pregnant with our second baby. Me: Pam, I just know they're not goi...

http://chocolateforteachers.blogspot.com/2012/02/how-creative.html
Sweet stuff from funny kids. Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Here is the quote of the day:. It was SO hot in gym class today! Which reminds me- when I was little, my dad used to put his Coke cans under my armpits to thaw them.". My favourite quote from one of my kids today:. Me: What did you do for Math today? He was referring to the rounding lesson we did. :). February 9, 2012 at 12:46 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Christi's class blogs as well. Click here to visit the Superkiddos!

Chocolate for Teachers: November 2011
http://chocolateforteachers.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Sweet stuff from funny kids. Thursday, November 3, 2011. I have this kid in my class that looks like he fell out of the movie Goonies. He is, unintentionally and hysterically, hilarious. His biggest flaw is also his biggest strength: he is so very easygoing he's almost lazy. And, as I mentioned, it is absolutely hysterical. Not a single day goes by when I say, "Bodie, GET TO WORK NOW.PLEASE! I have to tell you something.". This happens nearly every single day. I have to tell you something.".

http://chocolateforteachers.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Sweet stuff from funny kids. Friday, October 14, 2011. We had a Walk-A-Thon today. You know the kind- the kids raised money for new playground equipment by getting pledges, then we all walked and walked and walked and walked some more. A good time was had by all. We came in and waited with baited breath to hear the winners of the fundraising contest. All of a sudden, one little guy goes,. Umm, Mrs. Overman? So when are we going to do the Walk-A-Thon? Mrs Overman, I am soooo. Not ready to have kids yet.". I was already cracking up. Why's that, Bode? Well, see my kids over there? Bode, you know, it doesn't get any easier when you're a grown up. Good luck.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Christi's class blogs as well. Click here to visit the Superkiddos!

I would also like to say a huge thank you to those of you who are able to come in and help hear readers throughout the week. The more the children are reading, the better! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chocolate for Teachers: April 2012
http://chocolateforteachers.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sweet stuff from funny kids. Monday, April 16, 2012. The Best Substitute Teacher Note. Ever. I have a very challenging class this year. Don't get me wrong, I love every single kid. I have. Really. Most years I have one kid that kinda rubs me the wrong way.this year, I have no one like that. That doesn't change the fact that this class is very. Challenging. Throw in pregnancy hormones and very little sleep.even more challenging. We filed out of the room and one little girl said, "Mrs. Overman? I tried to ...
