http://www.sarahortega.com/2011/10/diy-gift-boxes.html
Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Here is a fun and easy project to spruce up a plain gift box. These come in handy for birthday presents, Christmas gifts, or they can also make cute storage boxes for your own items. You can use whatever you have on hand to decorate and the possibilities are endless! Each one of those boxes started out like this, plain and simple. I bought them in a pack of six at Jo-Ann Fabrics and with my 40% off coupon each box came out to about 40 cents a piece. October 27, 2011 5:14 AM.

http://www.sarahortega.com/2011/04/diy-freezer-paper-stenciling.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Diy {freezer paper stenciling}. The cool thing about this paper is if you place it with the waxy side down. And iron it onto clothing or fabric it will stick! The adhesion is strong enough to stay on but light enough that you can easily pull it off when you are done with it. Ok so here is what you'll need to make your own stencils:. Makeup sponge/foam brush/small paint brush. An electronic cutting tool (I used my Silhouette SD. I ironed the stencil shiny side down. I let the pa...

Sarah Ortega: diy {up-cycled necklace}
http://www.sarahortega.com/2012/10/diy-up-cycled-necklace.html
Tuesday, October 02, 2012. For the last few weeks I have been in major spring cleaning mode. And instead of just de-cluttering, I am "de-owning" a lot of my stuff. I found this concept in an article. That I happened upon and it really made sense to me. The author states, "Owning less is far more beneficial than organizing more." Isn't that the truth! It feels so great to simplify and get rid of things that are just taking up space. Assorted beads from old jewelry. Round nose jewelry pliers. And had a har...
