Saturday, February 23, 2013. One of the joys of owning animals is when they things they do make you laugh. Even as I write this. Stuck in the tub.again. Saturday, February 16, 2013. So here was my list: Hong Kong, Beijing, or Guangzhou. Not a bad option among them. We get to go to China and we get to go in 2014. We talked debated and submitted our preferences for which one we would prefer over the others. This coming week we should find out where we are headed. Sunday, February 10, 2013. Silliness of the...

http://allaboardthecrazybus.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
All Aboard the Crazy Bus. Thursday, September 12, 2013. Celebrating Three Years Of Having Three Kids. Well, I believed my head and my heart were firmly attached in the right places, but it didn't take long before I was beginning to wonder if the rules I had been told about adopting here were actually. Indonesian kids are beyond adorable! Then, there was this one little boy who grabbed my heart. I watched him play and interact. He reached over to feed me a bite of his Lego block. I pretended t...I feel li...

Adamson Road: October 2012
http://adamsonroad.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 30, 2012. One day post-hurricane and all is well here. I've only ventured far enough out the front door to let the dogs go out (poor Meili could barely make it) but it seems that my area is pretty good. But for now, I'll keep cleaning and cooking. Sunday, October 28, 2012. Dili, Timor-Leste and the present. As "Frankenstorm" begins to bear down on the Northeast, let me describe what it was like to be in sunny, tropical Timor-Leste. Adamson Road: June 2013
http://adamsonroad.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 30, 2013. After living here for about 10 months I have come to a conclusion about my building - we are the troublemakers in the eyes of management. And better than that, my wing of the building houses the real rebels. A quick note important for these stories: the air conditioning system in our building is centrally run and is connected to all the other units in the building. They have to all be on cool or all on hot. Its weird, but thats the way it is). And it never got cool again). As you c...

Saturday, September 14, 2013. Today is the first time it's felt like fall and it makes me so excited I can barely stop smiling. I had to wear a jacket to take the dogs out this morning and I'm planning on going for a stroll around DC this evening because I get to do so while wearing a hoodie! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Adamson Road: February 2014
http://adamsonroad.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 22, 2014. These Past Several Months. It has been a busy few months! Cantonese language training continues. Some days are more difficult than others but most days I still can't believe this is what I get to do everyday. It's really amazing, but so challenging. In other news, we're having a baby! That has made the language learning that much more fun (baby brain is no joke. The number of things I forget these days is staggering). As nice as things have been, the pregnancy has not been an...

http://noblenote.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Some Work of Noble Note. Come, my friends, 'tis not too late to seek a newer world. Monday, November 25, 2013. TDY in the Abode of Peace: Epilogue/Mt. Kinabalu. I pretty much forgot this month that I have a blog and that I never wrote about the best part of the Brunei trip! November turned out to much busier than expected, with two trips to Shaoxing and one visit to the embassy in Beijing. Oh, and church activities and Thanksgiving happenings and the Marine Corps Ball. Whew! Groups of hikers from Austral...

Adamson Road: August 2013
http://adamsonroad.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 16, 2013. One Year Post-Flag Day. One year ago, on a warm Friday afternoon, I was handed a Washington, D.C. flag and learned I'd be staying in Washington for my first assignment. It was not at all what I expected and I was sure it would be a tough year. And I hope my future tours are as awesome as this one. I have the distinct feeling they will be :). Sunday, August 11, 2013. And I posted on it as recently as 2010 but for some reason I hadn't thought it about it years. I can't believe some...
