Marianne's Life in Asia: June 2011
http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 25, 2011. Sorry to leave you all so long waiting for the rest of the story! To say its been a busy week would be an understatement . . . a huge understatement. We have been going non-stop since we got to the U.S., and especially since we got her to St. Louis. But, I digress. ;) Where did I leave off? Oh, yes, we were in Connecticut for a few precious hours with David's folks, enjoying Dunkin Donuts. :). We made the whole trip- New Haven to NYC subways to airport train to airport- in less t...

Marianne's Life in Asia: Four Weeks
http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2011/05/four-weeks.html
Thursday, May 19, 2011. Four weeks from tomorrow we will board an airplane and say a final goodbye to this country which has been our home for seven years. It is still incomprehensible to me a lot of the time, but there are more and more moments where the reality is sinking in. Those moments are intense, full of emotion- grief, loss, helplessness, and gratefulness all mixed together. Then, suddenly, I realized- this is probably the last shower I will host for anyone for a long time! Welcome to my blog!

Marianne's Life in Asia: I want to blog again . . . pray for me!
http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2012/10/i-want-to-blog-again-pray-for-me.html
Monday, October 1, 2012. I want to blog again . . . pray for me! This photo happened right at the beginning of September. After a pretty scorching Missouri summer, we finally got some "cool" weather, like in the 80's. I told Sarah that Fall was coming and the weather was going to start getting cooler. She is just beginning to grasp the idea of seasons. We were out on the deck, but suddenly she yelled excited, "Its going to snow soon! I want it to stop, I tell you! Finally, this is from Sarah's first day ...

Marianne's Life in Asia: Update
http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2011/06/update.html
Tuesday, June 14, 2011. So somehow four weeks (when I wrote the last post) has suddenly become three days! In just three days, David, Sarah and I will board a plane at 7:30 am and say goodbye to this city we've called home for seven years . . . So how are we feeling at this point? That is until you set foot in Target . . . " Oh, how well you know me, friend! Still, I think there is something spiritually beneficial to owning less . . . at least for a little while. :). June 14, 2011 at 11:53 PM. I am the w...

Marianne's Life in Asia: September 2010
http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 29, 2010. That said, I knew it might be a while before Sarah got into coloring and such things. I tried it one time with her the week we got back, and quickly discovered that Sarah was more interested in coloring the floor and the filing cabinets (she hadn't discovered the walls yet! Than on paper, so we put the crayons away for a while. Meanwhile one of Sarah's favorite toys continues to be her magna-doodle, so I knew she liked scribbling on things. And let her go to town! Every mor...

Marianne's Life in Asia: April 2011
http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 30, 2011. Things I Won't Miss #1: Transportation Woes. They are currently beginning the construction on a subway for our city- hallelujah! This is a relatively compact city of 6 million (ish) people with way, way, way too narrow roads and far too many cars. A subway is going to be fantastic . . . when it is done in 2016 or so! Things About America I'm Excited About #1: Family-Friendliness. Friday, April 29, 2011. Things I'll Miss #1: Our Apartment. Even though we don't own this apartment,...

Sunday, October 31, 2010. Thursday, October 28, 2010. Making My Mom's Day. I have new video of Sarah! Well, probably for most of you that doesn't exactly merit a "hooray! Here are a couple more I uploaded that are REALLY just for Sarah's most dedicated fans:. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? In that one, we tried to catch Sarah on video saying, "Mmmm, delicious! Which she says all the time these days), but instead we just got a video of Sarah very silently and passionately eating corn on the cob. And even t...
