The Weaver of Tales…. Stories from the whole world round. December 26, 2010. We are just completing a visa run to the Cambodian border that had to be made to extend our Thai Visa after 15 days. If, from this information, you deduced that we’ve been in Thailand for 15 days already and therefore must have already traveled through Cambodia to get here, you would be most astutely correct indeed. Interesting things to think about. December 17, 2010. Why were there so many trees? A large white man had been rid...

The Weaver of Tales…. Stories from the whole world round. The Kenyan Goat Truck. March 24, 2011. How was your cattle truck ride? It felt a little like a video game at times, fishtailing down a desert road at like 70 kph in a 10 ton truck. Im sure the driver wasnt trustworthy. He was actually a good driver, but in a bad mood. As i would have been in his situation. Good driver , as in he could keep it together in sketchy conditions and at high speeds. Not safe, but good at keeping it together? Get every ne...

The Weaver of Tales…. Stories from the whole world round. March 9, 2011. And now I shall take this opportunity to brag on, and rag on, this particular dynamic duo. None other than their good-for-nothing, bum of a vagabond, middle son; who is off gallivanting around the world. I believe his name is Jeremy John Weaver or something like that. They did this because they love him. And he knows it and appreciates it more than he sometimes expresses. The Duo in action. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Fill in your d...
The Run | The Weaver of Tales...
https://weaveroftales.wordpress.com/2011/04/13/the-run
The Weaver of Tales…. Stories from the whole world round. April 13, 2011. This morning, strangely enough, I actually did find myself trotting through the tea fields of southern Malawi laced into my running shoes. My point of origin was Malamulo Mission Hospital, where I’ve spent the last week or so. We have come to this place from Tanzania through a series of hitchhikes and bus rides. God worked some of them out for us, which is always convenient. Here’s how it went. One Response to “The Run”.
The “Homecoming” | The Weaver of Tales...

The Weaver of Tales…. Stories from the whole world round. The “Homecoming”. January 12, 2011. It’s interesting to note how traveling for 7 months around the world changes one’s perceptions on things like: daily routine, home, and, normal thought processes. Take the second one for example. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Fred Meyer Cart Guy. Sunday.6:45am…I roll back over really not wanting to get up. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Monday Morning: Suddenly my world was white. Tuesday Morning: I think it will be white for awhile. Friday, November 19, 2010. The moment I almost didn't. It is fun looking back on those moments in life that had specific and palatable consequences whether good or bad. Maybe I shouldn't label that fun, but definitely interesting. Speaking of palatable, this story involves chocolate and a whole surprise ton of it because of a couple of those moments that I almost didn't. A good...

Saturday, October 30, 2010. I heard from God today. I heard from God today. He wrote me an email. Clarity and mystery all in the save breath or in this case.gmail message. He was sorry to inform me that HR and budget cutbacks had vetoed my almost job. The message was kind but clear. My neon sign had appeared from heaven and I was thankful, but bummed too. Who does that anymore? This is good to know. It is also good to know that God is working/not working things out and letting me know along the way&#...

The Weaver of Tales... | Stories from the whole world round
The Weaver of Tales…. Stories from the whole world round. May 7, 2011. That lucky ol’ sun hangin over the Zambezi. Mukuyu (the farm) is a supremely serene place. I think my resting heart rate lowered at least 3 beats per minute while I was there. The sounds of hippos laughing and splashing in the swirling currents of the Zambezi is washing over me and lulling my into a sublimity that shouldn’t be possible on this earth. Untainted that is the best word I can ascribe to this place. April 13, 2011. Well, he...

Weaver of the Wind. May 7, 2011. This Bloomsday (July 16, 2011), the twitterverse - okay, a very small portion of it - will work in tandem to tweet Ulysses. 96 Brave Cast members are needed in order to tweet the 96 sections of the book. Each tweeter will work for 15 minutes, tweeting the entire assigned section in this time, then the next person will continue, thus completing the entire book in 24 hours. Would cross over into the TOO abstract. April 5, 2011. Recent Rumblings from the Joyce Estate. Making...
