weavings&intersections: another shawl in the works

http://weavingsintersections.blogspot.com/2010/06/another-shawl-in-works.html

I'm a weaver who loves color and texture. I began this blog to post my weavings and intersections as they come along. Another shawl in the works. Finally, I began another shawl last weekend. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). McPherson, Kansas, United States. I'm a weaver who can't get enough of colors, textures, and intersections. I weave with mostly cotton, wool, silk, linen, and anything with great texture. Fascinated by Saori-style weaving! And, I confess, I really like things small and simple.

weavings&intersections: Weaving again!

http://weavingsintersections.blogspot.com/2013/10/i-am-finally-weaving-again.html

I'm a weaver who loves color and texture. I began this blog to post my weavings and intersections as they come along. I am finally weaving again. I took an intro lesson in Saori weaving in Santa Cruz, CA, and I love it! So this is my first attempt on my own to weave in the Saori way. This is 100% wool from Brown Sheep Wool. It's finished and but I just have not photographed it yet. I will post the finished scarf soon. I love weaving in the Saori way! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My life in progress.

weavings&intersections: first sample off-loom bookmark

http://weavingsintersections.blogspot.com/2011/03/first-sample-off-loom-bookmark.html

I'm a weaver who loves color and texture. I began this blog to post my weavings and intersections as they come along. First sample off-loom bookmark. My first sample bookmark for an off-loom weaving class for high school students. This was woven on a frame loom made of 14" x 14" stretcher bars. Still not sure if knotting the fringe or hemstitching is the best way to finish it off. It's fun to try different yarn combinations and the sky is the limit here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://a-tree-a-day.blogspot.com/2012/08/tree.html

I love trees. I have always loved trees. My goal was to make one tree (drawing, painting, assemblage, other) each day for 365 days. Well, I missed a day or two and got totally sidetracted in November with the birth of my first grandchild—my "family tree" sprouted! The 365th day has come and gone. It has been a very satisfying experience and I'm going to keep going until I I do Tree #365. My inspiration is MakeSomething365 and Artists Journal Workshop. Friday, August 31, 2012.
