CoPE is a Level 2 Certificate of Personal Effectiveness. Completing the full course earns the students a qualification equivalent to a B at GCSE. To achieve the award, students are required to complete a number of modules on subject such as Communication, Independent Living and International Links. A large amount of the work for these modules is completed on computers, giving the students a chance to develop their skills. Provide experiential learning opportunities and outcome, within a new environment.

2015-2016 Oakfield Events Calendar. More about our events. Come Dine With Oakfield. Once a year our students host Come Dine With Oakfield, inspired by the popular TV show. They research menus, plan themed decorations, advertise the event, order the shopping and cook and serve three delicious courses of food to guests on the day. The Oakfield Project is looking to support vulnerable students who are disengaged from mainstream education and who are likely to have a number of challenges in their lives. These may include some of the following:. Those who are classed as a, Child In Care, an Asylum Seeker or Pupils with SEN. Those who have involvement with other support agencies. Those who are vulnerable to alcohol or substance misuse. Those who are involved with the Youth Offending Team or are at risk of offending.

A small group of students was set up to monitor the learning experiences of the students, then assess and feed back to staff their findings in order to encourage staff to engage in personalised learning. Students are involved in planning and designing the informal part of the curriculum and have adopted the use of regular satisfaction surveys. At Oakfield, we offer GCSE Biology. Some students are continuing with their science course at their original school, as part of their agreed timetable. The Maths course is a one or two year programme which follows the AQA specification units 1, 2 and 3 (Unit 1 Statistics and Number; Unit 2 Number and Algebra; Unit 3 Geometry and Algebra).
