The NEAT Tree
http://neat.ecosystemsknowledge.net/tree.html
The tree contains guidance for selecting and using tools that have been adapted to incorporate the principles of the Ecosystem Approach. The tools are situated within six stages of a typical decision-making/policy cycle:. To help you select the most appropriate tool(s) and to highlight the key issues, each stage contains key questions and prompts for discussion. If you are a first-time user or unfamiliar with the Ecosystem Approach in relation to tools, use the cycle on the tree. Website by Big Toe.

Why use the EATME Tree in the built environment
http://neat.ecosystemsknowledge.net/built-environment.html
Why use the NEAT Tree in Built Environment professions? To move out of our Built Environment silos and start to view the environment and nature more holistically. To look at the bigger picture (place, people and environment) within which a particular policy, plan, project or programme (PPPP) is set, recognising interrelationships and dependencies. To identify opportunities to embed nature within decision-making processes to improve growth and development interests. Reasons to apply the Ecosystem Approach.
