The Adventures of Team Carlyle. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Zoo with the Hansel Crew. The Zoo was in order on one of the hottest days on record in the DC area. Mazzy was super excited to see the Panda's- this is her scratching her head like the baby panda- she is impressively flexible. Iko showing me the elephants. Mazzy can read- she is 6, so L asked her to read just about every animal description- it was a long day at the Zoo. There is a splash pad at the Zoo and it was perfect for the kids to cool off in.

The Adventures of Team Carlyle. Friday, November 28, 2014. They tried three times to get an IV in him and were finally successful with his little foot. He also had to have blood drawn, a urine sample take (through a catheter), breathing treatments and was giving an antibiotic through the IV. At the Holy Cross, the determined that they could not provide the best care for him, so we had to transport him to Children's Hospital in DC. It was his and my first ride in an ambulance. Riding on the stretcher.

The best part is that all came back negative for what we were testing for! The upper GI was a tough go as the hospital lost power just after we arrived, so instead of fasting for 4 hours it was more like 5.5 hours.
