Classroom instruction for teen-agers is held during the summer months of June and July. Class dates for 2016 are June 13 - 23 and July 11 -21. The classroom meets 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. The classroom meets Monday through Friday the first week and Monday through Thursday the second week, for a total of 9 days. The classroom meets at North Cross School, at the corner of Electric Road (419) and Colonial Avenue. The class is taught by Jay Childress, who has 35 years of experience in classroom instruction.

He taught at James Madison Middle School for 27 years, serving 32 seasons as baseball coach. Jay has 35 years of experience as a driving instructor.
