We have now really settled into our new home in the New Forest . So much so, that we have decided to start another building project - the construction of a barn in the paddock and the conversion of the existing garage to accommodation. The garden remains an ongoing project. The pond is now more or less complete, we added some decking around it last year. Some views last summer. The photos below show the garden we don't have to look. However, it did show the correct time on Christmas Day.

August 2008, and all of our Soay ewes went gone to a new home near Fordingbridge, in preparation for our house move. Here are a few pictures of Sam the Ram who went.to a different home - a children's farm in Denmead a couple of years ago. We hope he happy there with his new friends. So, what happened in 2013? It started slowly for us and our vines. As we feared last year half of the 60 Pinot Noir Tony planted had not survived. Tony has replaced these with new grafted ones and planted them much deeper! They appear to be thriving as are the original (now 2 years old) ones only another 2 years to wait until we start producing Chateau le Champ! After the adventure of Kilimanjaro last year, we have been resting as far as major challenges are concerned. Golf is now again firmly on the age...

Tony and Pam, along with Tim and 5 new friends. Trekked up Kilimanjaro (Africa's highest mountain). On August 24th we set off to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, the highest walkable mountain in the world. The trek took us 6 days (4 up and 2 down although 1 "day" was 15 hours walking! Travelling through several different climate zones to reach the summit which is 5,685m above sea level and -20 C. Base Camp" before the off. Rongai Gate - start of the "walk".
