MillerLine: September 2012

I have been quite distracted from the blogging world the last few weeks. It all started with hurricane Isaac. He was the slowest moving storm I have ever experienced. I didn't think he would ever get here, much less leave! But 15" of rain and 2 days without electricity later, we were cleaning up and moving on, trying to get caught up from the 'hurricane days'. . . . .Some people have 'snow days', we have 'hurricane days':). This house is not suppose to be in the water! Oh the bling of gold! NEW online cl...

All Over the Board. This summer has not had a theme or cohesive pattern. I have been dabbling in all kinds of things with no real focus. Just playing all over the board. There is the on going practice following the teachings of Denis Brown's 'Italic Rhythm to Polyrhythm'. The practice time comes and goes. I should be practicing more consistently than I am, but still I am gleaning tons from the videos. Then there is the woodworking. I have been making custom dinky dip holders. Links to this post. MillerLine: November 2011
http://millerline.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
The month of October presented me with an opportunity to work large scale. I was asked to create artwork for a youth event. There were 5 large canvases ranging from 5'x8' to 8'x10' that would be the backdrop for the stage. Luckily I have access to a shop area that I could work on these all at the same time with minimal rearranging as I worked. This was such a great project to work on! I have also realized that I love working on canvas. I will be pursuing this in the future. Links to this post. Gordon and...

MillerLine: Digital Color Study
http://millerline.blogspot.com/2012/08/digital-color-study.html
This is a piece that was created some time ago. The colors are quite beautiful. It was created without any plan while waiting for other things to dry, so I did not pay much attention to the process and cannot remember what I used to create the color combinations. I imported a picture of the piece into photoshop and color pick throughout. What a good way to come up with combinations for your digital work. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
