THE SCARLET OAK RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM close ×. About I, Thalamus. After playing in The Divine Comedy and Moo, Grant formed I, Thalamus in 2004. The band’s first album ‘Why Aren’t We Screaming? 8217; was released that year, and Grant recruited Tom Aldwinckle on bass, Steve Parker (The Sights) on guitar, Simon Todd and Tom Yates on dual keyboards, Ian Harris on violin and Gary Mackenzie (Praying Mantis, The Mighty Handful) on drums. This line up played together in support of the album for two years.
