Homework for the web
Webwork
http://www.webwork.webknit.co.uk/find-out-more
Unfortunately this project has now been discontinued. You can read more about that here. Webwork is a play on the word homework . It’s essentially a collection of project ideas that will come to life throughout 2015. Many web people, including myself, don’t have the opportunity to work on fun projects in their day jobs. I created Webwork to enable me to learn new skills and refine the old ones whilst having a bit of fun! Is there a side project that’s taken your eye? Or shoot me a tweet @webknit. If so y...

Homepage for a butchers website. For the branding I’ve gone for a stamp type logo. Fairly modern - and cool looking - with a bull and two butchers knife crossed. I could imagine the stamp being patterned onto the paper that the meat is wrapped in, it would look great! The large heavy font is called Acknowledgement, the body font is Baskerville and the navigation and smaller links are Montserrat. A Web Designer and Developer who's the creator of this website. He freelances via Webknit. His customers consi...

Make a functional form. A local development agency need a form creating to use as a template on all their web projects. They require markup and client side validation using JS. The form needs to include a range of elements and the agency can remove/modify where applicable. The validation needs to be OOP and easy to modify and maintain. The markup needs to be clean and semantically correct and accompanied by minimal styling. Homepage for a butchers website. Oh and the business is called Nice to Meat you .

http://www.jordanlane.me/article/refactoring-ifs-javascript
Refactoring if statements in Javascript. Posted by Jordan Lane. 4th of February, 2015. Came to me asking if I could think of a way to make a function shorter that he was working on for his latest Webwork. Project, which was to make a colour clock with JS. Like usual I was intruiged and started to think of potential solutions in my head, little did I know what I was getting myself into! ColorClock.checkText = function(hour, day) { var status; if(day = 6 day = 0) { status = "What are you doing here? Else i...
Perspectives of a young developer – Jordan Lane

Posted by Jordan Lane. 29th of September, 2015. It had been in the back of my mind for a while, largely thanks to all of the advertising for the event around the town, but I was finally convinced after speaking to one of the event organisers in a pub that it would be a good idea to give it a go. Please Support - Ride for the child. March 8, 2015. Earlier this year I started WebWork. Which was basically a collection of mini projects. You can read more about the idea of it here. It has only been going two months but I’m a bit gutted to say that I’m not going to carry on with it any longer. I’m always posting stuff on both my Function. Website and my Github account. All my other side projects can also be seen here. Onclick="return fbs click()" target=" blank".
