Our Type 1 Trip: JDRF Walk 2012
http://type1trip.blogspot.com/2012/11/jdrf-walk-2012.html
Our Type 1 Trip. Sunday, November 18, 2012. We had such a great time at the walk this year. The weather was amazing. So much better than last year's pouring rain. Team Julia was out in force in our hot pink shirts. Our team was very easy to spot all day. Julia designed them and she was so pleased with how they looked. I always feel so uplifted on walk day. It fills my heart to see our friends and family come out and support us. Find a cure, that would be really great," she said. I couldn't agree more.

http://donnathedomesticdiva.blogspot.com/2013/02/vicks-vapor-rub-on-feet.html
Donna The Domestic Diva. Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Vicks Vapor Rub. ON FEET? I grew up a Vicks kid. I think most of us did. My mom swore by the stuff. If I had a cough and a stuffy nose, it was pretty well guaranteed that it was going on my chest that night. It felt weird. It was sticky. it made my jammies stick to me. It was just. Ewww. What good was THAT going to do? I totally blew her off. It got me to thinking, though. I discovered a while ago the wonder of a ionic foot detox session. By ...And i...

Our Type 1 Trip: Never Say Never
http://type1trip.blogspot.com/2013/03/never-say-never.html
Our Type 1 Trip. Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Well it has happened, we have used glucagon. Thankfully it wasn't as harrowing a situation as it could have been. Typically glucagon is used when a pwd has such a low blood sugar that they are unconscious and unable to intake any fast acting sugar. Julia was never unconscious and I am very thankful for that. But it has definitely been a very long few days. It all started Saturday morning when Julia woke up with a stomach bug. This was not our first encounter.

Our Type 1 Trip: February 2012
http://type1trip.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Our Type 1 Trip. Thursday, February 23, 2012. About a month ago a fellow blogger wrote a post about her daughter's stuffed animals that have diabetes. I was inspired by her post (because all of my daughter's stuffed animals have diabetes) to look for a play pump for Julia to put on her toys. I found T and J Designs. And ordered two for Julia. One for her stuffed bunny and one for her Fancy Nancy doll. There is a mom on Facebook trying to get Mattel's attention so they can make a. Will they do it? Who kno...

Our "Extra Sweet" Girl: Rambling worries...
http://extrasweetgirl.blogspot.com/2010/10/rambling-worries.html
Our "Extra Sweet" Girl. Life with a child with Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac Disease. Friday, October 29, 2010. But tomorrow morning I am leaving at 6:30am to run a half marathon. I can picture it already.mile 10 and I'm answering my cell phone to do a bolus, you know? And most people around here are trick-or-treating on Saturday night so their kids aren't out late on a school night. Last year Halloween night ended with a crying, headachey, stomachachey, high BG little girl despite our best efforts. I know ...

Our "Extra Sweet" Girl. Life with a child with Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac Disease. Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Just in case I needed any more evidence that I have completely lost my mind, I was walking down the hall tonight and saw the thermostat out of the corner of my eye. It read 75. I felt a little surge of adrenaline and thought, "Low. I need to feed her.". Heidi / Jack's Pack. July 15, 2010 at 6:42 AM. I can relate to your desire for a CGM, too. I want one!
