The Okuhingira - 24th March. Kyom's family are from the Banyankole tribe in Western Uganda, and we will be celebrating the traditional wedding on the 24th March. In October of last year, the elders agreed the terms for the wedding. Tim went with his kyebembera (emissary) Noel to visit Kyom's father and uncles, having been given explicit authority by the head of the Williamson clan (Tim's dad) to negotiate Kyom's hand in marriage. Church Wedding - 31st March 2006. The second of our weddings is the conventional Church wedding which will take place in Christ the King Church. In central Kampala - it is where Kyom was baptised, took her first communion and was confirmed. We've already started our wedding lessons at the Church. The Service will start at 4.00 pm. After the service at about 5.30pm everyone will move to the Emin Pasha. Hotel for the reception, and then party 'til late!
