Educator, musician/songwriter, Artist. View my complete profile. Tuesday, March 1, 2011. OK - today Renae received her 3rd round of treatments out of the 12 planned. It hasn't been so easy. The worst side effect has been the rise in blood pressure. After giving Renae another treatment of Avastin, they begin the IV of chemo on Tuesday (today) and after a few hours (when I arrive to pick her up) she is ready to come home with a portable pump that continues the infusion of chemo for 48 more hours.
